  • February 1, 2019 | New Position

    Dr Chowdhury joined the Open Blockchain group of the Knowledge Media Institute (KMi) at the Open University as a postdoctoral Research Associate. This is his third postdoctoral position and second in KMi. While at this project, Dr Chowdhury will have been working in the EU-funded decentralised qualifications' verification and management project QualiChain under the supervision of KMi Director Prof John Domingue. He will also be loosely attached to the UK-based the Institute of Coding project.

    Dr Chowdhury joined the Data Science Group (DSg) of the Knowledge Media Institute at the Open University as a Research Associate. He will have been working under the supervision of Prof Enrico Motta in the post-MK:Smart period where his research will involve disruptive technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence. He will also loosely work with the upcoming EU-funded project CityLabs.

    Niaz Chowdhury joined smart city and big data project MK:Smart as a Research Associate (Research Assistant until defending the doctoral thesis). He will have been working under the supervision of Prof. Gerd Kortuem in the Energy work package of the project. MK:Smart is a large project led by the Open University having partners from the University of Cambridge, University of Bedfordshire, E.On, BT, Anglian Water, Community Actions, and Milton Keynes Council.
